Briggs House Update

We have been busy remodeling the house. We have successfully tackled the downstairs bedrooms, are nearing the end of the kitchen work, and are in progress upstairs.

Grandma's B-day

We had a great time this past weekend with Jon's Parents and Grandma. Jon and his Dad started tiling the back splash in the kitchen and tried re-wiring the three way light switch in the dining room. Jon's Mom and Grandma helped me sew curtains for the dining room. They turned out great.


On Sunday we went to the Phantom of the Opera at the Orpheum Theater in Omaha. It was a great performance and so much fun to share with family (Thanks Mom!). When we returned home we had molten chocolate cakes for Grandma V's birthday and played cards. One of the perks of living closer to home.

Baby Swayne's Invite

This was the baby shower invite we did for Stephanie. We loved the colors, which Stephanie chose from her favorite Sharpie Pen colors. We will keep posting some of our past cards and invites over the next week. Keep checking back and thanks for your support.

Invitations....

Jon had the pleasure of making the save the data cards and wedding invitations for Grant and Nicole’s upcoming wedding. Grant and Nicole were both in my department at the University of Oregon and they are still living in Eugene. We miss them so much – so it was the least we could do to help them prepare for their special day.

We have had a lot of positive feedback from the invites, so we are considering starting a custom invitation business on the side. The idea being, customers could decide their own style, design, colors, wording etc. and we will put something together based on their likes and dislikes so that the invitation is specialized for their event. For example – the inspiration for Grant and Nicole’s invitation and save the data came from a fabric swatch that Nicole loves and is incorporating into her wedding. We will keep you posted on this idea – but would appreciate knowing if any of you would be interested in having invitations made or could spread the word to friends and family to check us out if we start a business. We look forward to everyone seeing Grant and Nicole’s save the date and invite!
