Summer is Finally Here

Dear Jude,
It has started to feel like the summer the past few weeks - WOO HOO!   With the warmer weather,  your dad and I got our your little pool from your cousins for you to try out.  To make a day long story short - you loved it and cried when we had to empty it out at the end of the day.  There will be many more pool days of summer to come!

Thanks for a fun weekend everyone! The picnic, boating, and the lakeside beach were such fun over memorial day weekend.  Can't wait to do it again in a few weeks.

Great Gma's House

We all enjoyed a few days with Great Grandma V a few weeks ago. Jude loved playing in Grandma's garden and with her big dog statue in the yard. Thanks for the plants Gma V - we hope to have a garden as beautiful as yours some day!

Construction

Dear Jude,
You love to play construction lately - which consists of wearing your hard hat and luggling your tool box all over to "fix" things outside and around the house.  Whenever your dad and I can't find something we need, there is a good chance it has found its way into your tool box.  Your token phrases are "It broken - I fix it", "I use my tools", and "I did it". 

Birthday Tradition

Dear Jude,
When I was little, your grandma used to take a photo of me every year by my birthday cards. I never really understood the point back then - but LOVE the photos now. Your dad and I decided to start this tradition with you last year. It is amazing us to see how much you have grown in a year and how your personality has changed - all reflective in this picture. A special thanks to everyone who thought of Jude on his birthday.
