We took Jude to an Easter Egg Hung with his cousins and he came up empty handed. We got there waited about 10 minutes for the hunt to start and then in a flash it was over. It literally lasted 1-2 minutes max! The kids covered that green space picking up the eggs in a flash. Jude's cousin Ava shared one egg with Jude so he could pick one up. Was a fun day. More Easter pictures to come....

Happy 1st Birthday Jude
Dear Jude,
Today you turn 1 year old. You have done so much in just one year. You are walking around furniture, eating with a spoon, learning to drink out of a sippy cup but truly wanting your bottle, pulling all of the baby wipes out of the container and pretending to blow your nose in each one, snuggling with your blanket and any pillows you can get your sticky hands on, crawling in laundry baskets and throwing the clothes out one item at a time, giving kisses, and laughing contagiously when we tickle you. You have taught us so much about patience, priorities, and happiness and your dad and I can not imagine our lives without you. It seems cliche, but the time does go so fast. It feels like yesterday we were anxiously driving to the hospital not knowing what to expect or what an amazing ride were in for when you arrived.
We love you,
XOXO

Exploration
It is so much fun watching Jude explore the outdoors. He is facinated with all of the rocks in our landscaping and tosses them around with joy while we work outside. We are in the process of moving all the rock back from around our plants because it hasn't been done in years and desprately needs to be done to allow the plants to grow. Jude has been a great helper.
We are headed to MNLPS tomorrow for my niece's first communion. Can't wait to see my sisters and have everyone together for the weekend.

New Ride
Jude was so excited to inherit this car from his cousins Harry, Sophie, Rita and George. His little legs are not quite long enough to reach the ground so he can't move it on his own yet. That = abundant horn honking, filling the gas tank with rocks, and lots of pushing from Jon and I.
Music Man
Papa Meendering made Jude this wooden xylophone and he can't get enough. The top picture is pretty blurry because I was laughing so hard at his need to pound the xylophone with all of his might while making hilarious facial expressions. Thanks Papa for your handy work! Jude adores it!

We are back...
in action on our blog. I know it is not a good excuse, but our computer where we stored our pictures was maxed out on storage and so my normal opperation to upload pictures was foiled. As many of you know, I am a stickler for organization and because I was so bothered with pictures being stored in different spots and a lack of a good system, I had to come up with a new plan before I uploaded and stored more pictures. Wow...don't laugh at how crazy that sounds.
We will catch up with pictures in the next few weeks. Enjoy the oompa loompa pictures of jude on our deck during the first few warm days when the snow was melting. Don't you just love this sweater that was handmade for him.
