Whats on that spoon?

Jude has learned to carefully study what we are about to feed him. If he hasn't had a chance to see it he will push the spoon away and carefuly inspect the color and consistency of what we are about to give him. There are some things that do not get his approval and he fusses for something else. Any suggests on how to handle this so that he learns to like a wider variety of foods?

sling shot?

we still struggle with this for Lills, but I just give her what she does like over and over again because at least it is some kind of veggie or fruit. When she was little I used to sneak in what she didn't like with what she did, just a spoonful mixed in with the good stuff. Too much or it sounds like the little detective will catch on! Also do you give him canned baby food or make your own? you could try it the other way that you don't use and see if that makes a difference?
